How do I choose a worship leader?

Choose a worship leader who is confident, competent, and able to connect well with people outside the church. If you don't have such a person, it is probably better not to have worship at all. Some Alpha courses run without any singing. Some sing along with a CDs and manage very well with that resource. Smaller courses would not normally have any singing.

The worship leader shouldn't give an introduction to the songs. This person is there simply to lead worship, and too often an attempt at an introduction becomes another talk.
