Alpha Courses starting in honduras with support from uS church
Victor Vigil and Leonel Orellana of Faith Christian Center in Holland, MI were delighted to have the opportunity to implement an Alpha course in the city of El Pino, Honduras. Having taken several trips to Honduras they found that Alpha was once again well received. "We are very excited to hear their testimonies at the conclusion of the course. I believe this course will help make a big impact in lives of the Honduran people. The Alpha program will also provide them necessary resources to grow in their relationship with Christ," said Vigil.
The church in El Pino was very excited about receiving the Alpha program. They were very encouraged and look forward finishing the course. One person stated how they learned a lot and could see how this course could help him to teach others about Christ. Another exciting occurrence was they were able to reconnect with one of the churches from last year, the church in Trujillo. They baptized sixteen young teens and adults and provided new Bibles for each of them.
We were also able to connect with eight other Pastors in the Trujillo and tell them about the Alpha course. Their eyes lit up as we spoke to them about a form of evangelism and a way to help them disciple their people. Another individual said, "Anything we can do to learn more about evangelism would be great."
