GAT: 100 million people by 2020 and GAT is the Only Answer

Over the past 10 years 16 million people have taken an Alpha course. Nicky Gumbel has a vision that by 2020, 100 million people across the world will have taken Alpha. It’s a huge vision and we need your help to make it happen.

Alpha International has developed an initiative called Global Alpha Training (GAT) which will help multiply the number of Alpha courses around the world. Teams of 4-6 people from churches who know and love Alpha are doing GAT events around the world – training church leaders on how to run Alpha. On average, 23 new Alpha courses begin as a result of each GAT event!

GAT is the answer to achieving this exciting vision! Growing organically is not enough to help us achieve our goal of 100 million guests. However if every church who runs Alpha does a GAT the growth will be exponential.

How Does GAT Work?
You provide the team of 4-6 people (ask your small group hosts!) and we’ll train you and provide you with everything you need to run a training event overseas. This includes the schedule for the training, all the talk transcripts, power point presentations, tips on how Alpha works overseas, and how to best prepare for your trip.

Like other short term mission trips, your team will be responsible for raising funds to cover the cost of travel, food, accommodation and part of the training event (cost determined locally).

There are 2 ways to get involved with GAT. Alpha International can pair you with a country that has requested training or you can work with your own mission contacts overseas.

Email gat@alphausa.org to find out more and get involved in fulfilling the vision for 2020.
