Alpha Tips: Using e-vites to promote your course

How can we harness the internet to get the word out to more people about our upcoming course?

There are many proven ways to invite potential guests to your Alpha course.  By far the most effective way is the personal face to face or over the phone invitation.  But some course leaders are having success using other promotional tools available on the internet. 

One way would be through Facebook. This is especially helpful if the people you are inviting are also on Facebook. Others have found tools like evite or pingg to be the perfect way to get a nicely designed invitation to friends or family.  These electronic invitations are easy to work use.  Just plug in the relevant information about your course and send to the people you would like to see come to the first night.  You can also send the evite to those on your team and they can forward to people they would like to invite.

It is still a great idea to follow up with a phone call and personal invitation as well, but the evite will give them the basic information and it is something they can refer to as the date gets closer.
