The Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization, Archbishop Octavio Ruiz, said that he attended an Alpha course and describes it as "a tool which God has put into our hands to do this new evangelization".

Catholics Come Home
A huge national ad campaign starting to run inviting Catholics to come home. Tom Peterson and his Catholics Come Home organization have something great here. Check out the Fox News special, especially the comments by the priest at the 1:09 mark in the story. When they come home what will we offer them, especially when they have no idea or appreciation of the Eucharist? How do we get them there? Alpha offers them THE Relationship that makes the rest possible.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity attended the 2011 Alpha International Days and here are his encouraging words about Alpha for Catholics.
"On the occasion of the 2011 Alpha Conference in London, I send my warmest greetings and assurances of prayer to all the participants. Our world has been never more in need of the saving words and work of Jesus Christ; he alone offers a path for humanity to realize its potential, to establish lasting peace among peoples, and to assure the dignity of every person.
