Getting Started Seminar Farmingdale, N.Y. Jan 19 2013
Starting off the new year by hosting a Getting Started we anticipate wonderful things ahead. This seminar was held at the Living Faith Church in Farmingdale. 29 guests were present and many were hearing about Alpha for the first time. Leaders from Rutherford, N.J., Greenport, N.Y. and Binghamton, N.Y. also attended. Many of these courses are planned for after Easter this year. Korean Alpha Training Day November 24, 2012
 Long Island is a wonderful place where people come from many countries to work and live. Reaching into the Korean church teaching and training about Alpha is a unique joy. Pastor John Min and Pastor Lydia Han were our teachers for the day explaining the dynamics of Alpha and how it transforms both lives and churches. Our host church was the New York Plainview United Methodist Church.
Spanish Alpha Training day November 17, 2012
 What a wonderful gathering of 14 pastors from Long Island we had in Freeport on November 17th. Six churches were represented from Sag Harbor to Elmont. Jose Garrigo, director of Alpha for Latinos was the main teacher. Linda Johnson, from New Life Fellowship and Josh Moody from Shelter Rock Church also taught. We were graciously hosted by the Long Island Hispanic Pastors Association in Freeport. We anticipate several new courses will start as a result of this long awaited and long prayed for training.
Alpha Presentation at the Occupied Until He comes Missions Conference for Chinese Churches October 6, 2012
 Alpha Long Island was blessed to be invited to have an information table at the Missions Conference held at the Long Island Abundant Life Church in Hicksville. 10 churches sponsored the event which featured the great, great grandson of Hudson Taylor as the keynote speaker. An invitation was also extended to show our promotional video at lunch to over 100 pastors and leaders. After the video we were given a few minutes to talk about the local ministry with the aid of an interpreter.
Alpha Presentation at the Long Island Hispanic Pastors Association August 21, 2012
 We had the honor to present an introduction to the Alpha Course at the Long Island Hispanic Pastors Association Meeting in Freeport on August 21st. Pastor Josh Moody from Shelter Rock Church made the presentation to 38 area pastors. Many were inspired by the story of how Alpha has helpted grow his church and wanted to know more. As we continue to work with interested Hispanic pastors we are praying the Lord will use Alpha to significantly assist evangelism in the Latino community.

This seminar was truly an answer to prayer! Two teams of people came together to
learn to be Alpha leaders in the New York region. As prior guests on the course they were ready to take their course to a new level. We expect the Lord to use them mightily in the days to come!

Getting Started Seminar Agape Church of God, Springfield Gardens, N.Y. Feb 11, 2012
It all began in November of 2011 when leaders from the Church of God met with alpha CEO Gerard Long to talk about reaching communities with Alpha. The course was introduced on Feb 4th to 200 members and leaders at their annual retreat. The following week the training was held at Agape Church of God in Springfield Gardens. 96 people attended from at least 12 churches. Bishop c. Milton Granuum who runs the alpha course at New Covenant Church in Philadelphia was the keynote speaker. The Spirit moved in power during the ministry time with many coming forward to be filled once more. The day concluded as all were commissioned once more to the work of evangelism.
