Justin and Susie have been married for 14 years, and have two children, Ian (8) and Sally (3). Originally from Kansas, the Kastners have been involved with Alpha since 1999, when they assisted with a student-led Alpha Course in London (while Justin was a graduate student). Over the last decade, Susie and Justin have led Alpha Courses in both Canada and the U.S. Justin holds graduate degrees from the University of Guelph (PhD, 2003), the University of Edinburgh (2000), and London South Bank University (1999), and serves as a faculty member at Kansas State University (KSU), where he co-directs the Frontier program, an interdisciplinary research, mentoring, and skill-development program for undergraduate and graduate students, while also serving as lay pastor for Trinity Canton Church in Manhattan. Susie (BS, Kansas State University, 1998), amongst other responsibilities, serves as an advisor to the KSU chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, but her most enjoyable job is staying home with their kids.
