Alpha Tip: GAT and Summer Mission Trips
Can we Combine a GAT with our summer mission trip?
Yes! This is an excellent way to make a lasting impact on a country because you will be training local leaders to take the course to their community even after you and your team leaves.
We are aware of hundreds of churches across America who have strong ties to churches around the globe. This summer would be a perfect time to train up a Global Alpha Team to accompany your summer mission trip group.
There are other significant benefits for the GAT teams:
- The GAT team will be injected with a passion for evangelism in the local community. "Taking teams to lead a GAT ignites our own people to do Alpha better, and we are always inspired and challenged to see how God is moving in other cultural contexts.” Read more of this story >>
- There is potential to train and develop leaders within your congregation. There is no better way to understand and embrace the Good News than to get involved in giving it away.
- GAT will broaden the horizons of the participants through cross-cultural experience.
We will help you in training your team and you can either go to a place that you already have a relationship with or choose from a list of place around the world that have requested a GAT to come and provide a training.
