Imagine a space where people in our community, our friends, neighbors and coworkers, can come together and have conversations that are authentic, all questions are welcome and people can share honestly about what they believe. That is what Alpha is all about.

By running Alpha you are creating a space where people can connect with each other and with God.

Message from Alpha Houston's Executive Director

Alpha Houston is proud to have been the first regional Alpha office established in the US in 2001. Since then, we have trained hundreds of leaders and organizations to run Alpha effectively in a variety of settings – churches, homes, schools, businesses and prisons. Our mission is to empower, train and equip Christian communities throughout Greater Houston to spread the good news of Jesus Christ utilizing Alpha.

Church Endorsement

"Alpha is a great value. The gospel story is the best story. The only agency responsible for telling it is the church. The church's delivery system needs help. That's what Alpha does. And the great thing is that it tells the story so effectively to both insiders and outsiders and its track record makes it clear it crosses cultures and colors."

Dr. David Peterson
Senior Pastor, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church

I want to see an actual Alpha

Visit a live Alpha for a behind-the-scenes look at how churches run Alpha in their unique contexts. This is one of the best ways to see what Alpha is all about. Find an Alpha and contact the Alpha administrator for details.

I am ready to run Alpha

Come to our next Run Alpha event. Gather with other churches across the network to learn and practice some of the unique elements of Alpha. When finished, you will have everything you need to run Alpha.

Support Alpha Houston

The primary purpose of Alpha Houston is to build a Christ-centered community dedicated to uplifting and supporting Alpha Courses throughout the Greater Houston Area.  We are a stand-alone nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization with a small staff based out of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Central Houston and welcome your contributions to solidify, expand, and glorify God with the Alpha community.
