Danielle Lives in Brisbane and is a freelance performer, a musical theater major and a television presenter. She graduated with a degree in music theater from the Queensland Conservatorium of Griffith University and she went on to host a kid’s programme on Channel 9 in Australia. Danielle developed a passion for singing in church, where she serves as a worship leader and enjoys putting together a Christmas production every year. She believes in being plugged into the church community and that just one encounter with God can transform a life – just like hers.
Energetic and joyful, Rocco grew up in British Columbia and loves being outdoors during the day and gaming at night. Rocco is enthusiastic, takes the initiative and has a giving heart – clear in a group dynamic, where he serves others first. Rocco is the youth coordinator at Village Church and is pursuing a degree in youth ministry and Bible studies at Pacific Life Bible College. He is adventurous, an avid reader and enjoys exploring nature.
Isaac grew up as a pastor’s kid in Australia, with a need to find his own identity. He tried to be popular but was miserable in this pursuit! At 15, he visited an orphanage in China while on a mission trip. The orphans’ daily song about being the apple of God’s eye reminded him that, before anything else, his identity was in being a child of God, giving him a new sense of purpose. Today, Isaac serves on the Alpha Youth team. He is a humble and naturally gifted public speaker. He loves sports; cares about young people’s eternity; can stay focused while having fun; and is passionate about experiencing more of God’s presence.
Micah is a creative and storyteller at heart. She’s passionate about the arts, especially analogue photography and filmmaking, using them to capture special moments and share people’s stories. Micah deeply cares about the next generation and finished her work at Youth Alive Western Australia by the end of 2023, where she assisted the director and planned events for state youth and young adult gatherings. Now, she mainly freelances in media and content creation while also running a small business making handmade, upcycled, ethical jewellery. Micah loves a good yarn (or chat!) and, of course, coffee.
Johnny is a friend to all, always keeping it real. The sports fan is a youth pastor at Life Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He is fun and confident, with an instantly likeable, bubbly personality. Johnny has a genuine passion for supporting younger people, the same way he was given that support when he needed it. Johnny grew up admiring sports heroes like Kobe Bryant and, with football in his blood, he played defensive lineman for Booker T Washington high school in Tulsa.
UK-based Xenia is a content creator for “The Way UK” who studied International History at university. She is passionate about her faith, and always takes the opportunity to share God’s love with the people around her. Confident, but with an air of humility about her, young people gravitate towards Xenia because she is a natural leader. She is passionate about Caribbean culture and currently attends Hillsong Church in London.
Jesse lives in London, he is calm and collected, with a presence that is felt in any room he is in. A bass and keys player, Jesse has a heart of worship, and he is humble, personable, eloquent and smart. He feels comfortable talking to any age group and loves evangelism – you will find him approaching strangers and asking them questions related to life, faith, and God on “The Way UK”. Jesse aims to be a good role-model to the younger people around him. He’s been our man-on-the-ground as our Vox Pops correspondent. He’s interviewed hundreds of people in cities around the world, from all walks of life, to get their views on topics around life, faith, meaning and purpose.
Australian Maria is a laid-back explorer with a love for travel and new experiences. After her siblings joined a Catholic youth group, curiosity led her to explore her faith too. This journey helped her connect personally with Jesus and gain a deeper understanding of her own spirituality. After studying event management, Maria pursued her passion for art, exploring the beauty of classical realism. She is a talented artist and works as an academic administrator at Exelsia College in Sydney. Whether she is painting at home or biking through rugged terrain, Maria is always up for a challenge.
