Alpha is changing lives in Prisons
Alpha can be made available for inmates who choose to participate voluntarily. Led by trained volunteers, it offers a relaxed and non-confrontational environment that encourages reflection.
Typically, the program runs over a number of weeks and can be adjusted—shortened or extended—based on the needs of the participants and the discretion of the Alpha volunteers and Chaplain.
Each Alpha session begins with a talk focused on a key aspect of the Christian faith. These talks are delivered through the Alpha video series, designed to be engaging and thought-provoking.
Following the talk, participants break into pre-assigned small groups that remain consistent throughout the course. These groups offer a safe and respectful space for open discussion, where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts and ask questions freely. We provide all the essential resources and training to help you confidently and effectively run Alpha for Prisons. Thanks to the generosity of donors, Alpha is provided at no cost.
